Anyone below the age of 21 or a parent of one can tell you the single-most vocabulary builder for coolness in the past 10 years was from the movie "Napoleon Dynamite." Since then, words/phrases like "lyger," "boondoggle keychain" and "bodaggit" (which is another word for dummy) have become commonplace. Since then, other phrases have come into teen play as well, such as my personal pet peeve, "my bad." I thought I was pretty cool (NOT a bodaggit) and knew a lot of the new lingo.
However, at college this week, I heard one student say to another, "I've got that pen too. It's the bo-diggity." I have no idea what "bo-diggity" means but I think it's a good thing. Makes me wonder what else I'm missing out on.
